menage a poire

Cafe Sydney seemed to be recommended by everyone for both the food and the views.  It’s located on the top floor of the Customs House in Circular Quay, which is right on the harbour with views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.  Since our conference had a dinner reception for us at the Opera house this evening, we dropped by Cafe Sydney afterwards for some more drinks and desserts.  It just doesn’t get better than this place and it really does capture the essence of Sydney! The drinks were well made, the staff was so nice (actually everyone in Australia is so incredibly friendly!), and again the views were perfect.  I so wish we could have tried some of the food here…the seafood menu looked especially impressive.

Drinking my Menage A’ Poire: a playful creation of Grey Goose La Poire partnered with Gekkeikan sake, fresh pear, lychees and finished off with a light touch of ruby red grapefruit juice.
