XOCO

September 28, 2010

We were really looking forward to ending our meal at Frontera Grill with some classic churros con chocolate but this was nowhere to be found on the menu…before we got too worked up about it, the waiter informed us that the newly opened XOCO next door was sure to satisfy our churro craving.  So of course we headed there after our dinner for dessert.  XOCO is the newest addition to the Frontera family and serves up some authentic Mexican street food.  We went pretty late at night so it wasn’t crazy busy, but there was still a line and we waited a bit.  There are lots of hot chocolate options so it’s hard to choose just one, but all are ground from Mexican cacao beans on location.  The chocolate was rich and perfect for dunking the crisp churros into…definitely the best way to end our amazing meal.  While I haven’t tried their breakfast, I hear it’s also outstanding.  The place is pretty small so I’m sure it fills up quick so I’d get there early to avoid a ridiculous wait.
