Pearl Harbor--Amazing experience. The audio guide made it even better.

View of Waikiki from the top of Diamond Head. This is a must do!

The ocean from Diamond Head.

Hanauma Bay. Good snorkeling--but not nearly as many fish as on our Big Island snorkeling excursions.

Waimea Beach on the North Shore--one of the prettiest beaches.

Banzai Pipeline

Sunset Beach--smaller but also really nice.

Waikiki Beach

Cool cloud watching at Ala Moana Beach Park.

Paddle boarding at dusk–what a life!
Oahu was awesome and while I loved every single moment of my time there, the flocks of tourists in Waikiki made it my least favorite part.  I was much more enamored by the North Shore, which had much more of a getting away from it all feel and if I return would chose to stay there for a more relaxing experience.

Great pics! I love the last one… but like you, I’d have been less thrilled by all the tourists I see in some of your other shots. 🙂

Wow, that looks pretty! Warm, too. (It’s getting warmer here, though. I should be grateful, but now I’m thinking of sweaty/hot summers!)

I love the North Shore and have been everywhere you mentioned. Brings back great memories of the shave ice and poke. Beautiful photos.

    Amazing views.

All I can think of is Magnum P.I., haha. From a friend’s photos, I know the “Robin’s Nest” estate is not what it used to be, but that would still be something I’d want to see, along with the Pearl Harbor memorial.

I was stationed there for three years. I’d go back so fast that there’d be a shockwave behind me as I left. I reenlisted the first time on the Arizona Memorial.

And when I climbed Diamond Head, everyone laughed at me for carrying a MagLite flashlight. They weren’t laughing later on. 🙂

My favorite place is Haleiwa on North Shore but better than Oahu is Maui…less tourists, beautiful beaches and better diving

Gorgeous pics. I was on Oahu for a trip in 2002 and I want to go back as soon as I can! Never made it to the top of Diamondhead but swimming in the water at Waikiki was incredible (minus dodging the hundreds of jellyfish that were coming near the shore that day).

Been to Oahu, Maui this past spring (PICTUES ON MY WEBSITE.

One of the best vacations I’ve ever had!!! The only thing that was an exception was the price! EVERYTHING in Hawaii is expensive! I would NOT want to live in Hawaii. LOL! Lovely place
but way to expensive life style.

I’m from Hawai’i and right now it’s raining all day, all night. I’ve been stuck in my house for the past two days. after seeing your photos, it’s reminding me that eventually, the sun will come back and play.
